Import a PDF
The Import button opens one dialog that handles both cases automatically — it detects whether a file was made in ReflowPDF and picks the right path.
Round-trip: files made in ReflowPDF
A PDF you exported from ReflowPDF carries its own editable source embedded inside it. Drop it back in and every block returns exactly where you left it — text & fonts, images, charts, barcodes and QR codes — with no AI, no OCR and nothing sent to a server. It's the most accurate way to re-open a document, because nothing is being re-guessed.
AI: any other PDF
For a PDF made anywhere else, AI reads it once and reconstructs it into an editable document — keeping tables, columns and headers intact. It runs a single time to bring the file in; after that the document is yours to edit, and exporting it makes it a round-trip file too. Results are best on structured documents like invoices, reports and CVs.
